As suggested in the last Analysis of Climate Data Working Group meeting we organized an informal get-together of data management concerned people from various workgroups. The topic was deliberately left very open, but talks revolved around persistent problems and solutions regarding access, storage and processing of large volumes of gridded data. No big solution to all problems was found, but it was nice to get to know a variety of different perspectives on the one hand side, and quite some common perceptions on the other hand.

Observe how nice my new discovery of presentation technology, reveal.js, looks like. It’s quite limited with regard to layout and won’t make me throw away my LaTeX-BEAMER skillz anytime soon, but it is good for note-taking directly into a presentable form.
